Communication Breakdown is a multi-sensory installation that reimagines generative AI as a system of perceptual interference. Rather than constructing coherent outputs, the work deliberately fragments visual, linguistic, and auditory structures, inviting a state of semantic drift and sensory ambiguity. Through shifting textures, disrupted language, and rhythmically unstable soundscapes, Communication Breakdown destabilizes the viewer’s interpretive habits, exposing the fragile thresholds of meaning-making. By embedding AI within processes of disorientation, the piece reframes machine intelligence not as a source of clarity but as a structural agent that reconfigures the conditions under which perception occurs.
